Shakti Mishra, a well-known Odia singer, has been hospitalized to a private hospital in Bhubaneswar after being diagnosed with a serious liver condition. He has liver cirrhosis, as well as various other co morbidities, according to sources.
On Sunday, Mishra complained of blood vomiting (Hematemesis), prompting his wife Namita and son-in-law to transport him to Bhubaneswar. Doctors say he needs a blood transfusion of roughly 10 units right away due to severe hematemesis.
He had previously undergone a coronary artery bypass operation as a result of serious heart complications, and he had also developed renal problems. According to sources, he is believed to be suffering from Multiple Organ Dysfunction Syndrome (MODS).
His condition is described as critical, and he is being monitored in the ICU by a team of doctors from multiple departments. Shakti’s wife, Namita Mishra, alerted the media about the popular singer’s health.
Mishra, a Dhenkanal native, is widely regarded as one of the most popular vocalists in Odisha’s music and film industries. During his nearly two-decade career, he is recognized with countless popular albums and movie tunes.
Mishra’s melodic voice has helped him carve out a niche for himself. Mo Bhugola Re Bhala Hauthila, Hai Hai Mora Malli Phoola Gajara, Bayasa Rajapathare, Tora Lamba Beni, and Megha Re Megha are some of the most fascinating melodies to have been made among his everlasting musical classics.
Many musicians have remixed his tracks, which have become scripts for remix creations.
