The WAP singer Cardi B is confirmed to be a part of the Fast & Furious cast by no other than Vin Diesel who plays Dom in the franchise. The Grammy-winning pop star will be playing the role of Leysa, who has a connection to Dom, which will be revealed in F10.
During the F9 Premiere Vin Diesel said, “We are very much excited to evolve her character and to expand it to the finale,” and added, “She made it just in time. She came in Fast 9 just in time.”
The rapper hasn’t denied the rumours anyway. Well, my management said Vin Diesel reached out and was talking about a role that on the next Fast & Furious would become a bigger role, and I’m like, ‘Ahhhh, why not?” she said hinting at a potential F10 role.
She added, “I was a little overdoing short appearance in films, and I’m like, ‘It’s frickin’ Fast & Furious,’ so I was like, ‘Get me there. Put me on a plan.”
She described her character as very confident and in a way ‘conceited’. “There’s a difference between conceited and confident, but I think she’s really both, and I guess she’s very competitive,” she explained.
The 28-year-old American rapper rose to fame after her hit single ‘Bodak Yellow’ topped charts. Since then, she has charted several songs including, WAP, UP, I like it & Finesse.
