PM Narendra Modi declared on Monday (July 19, 2021) that those who receive the COVID-19 vaccination become “Baahubali,” and urged everyone to get vaccinated.
“Vaccines are given in ‘baahu’ (arms), and people who receive them become ‘Baahubali,'” PM Modi explained.
He further added that in the struggle against COVID-19, over 40 crore individuals have become ‘Baahubali.’
The Prime Minister has stated that he wants a meaningful discussion on the coronavirus pandemic during the forthcoming Monsoon session of Parliament.
PM Modi also stated that he has encouraged all of the Floor Leaders to set aside some time on Tuesday so that he may brief them on the pandemic in detail.
“We want discussion inside the Parliament as well with the Floor Leaders outside the Parliament,” PM Modi said.
The Prime Minister further suggested that all parties raise the “most challenging and sharp questions” in the Houses, but that the Central Government be given an opportunity to respond.
“This will strengthen democracy, increase people’s trust, and accelerate growth,” he stated.
Meanwhile, the Union Health Ministry reported on Monday morning that India had added 38,164 new COVID-19 cases and 499 deaths in the last 24 hours. To far, about 3.11 crore coronavirus infections have been reported in the country, with 4.14 lakh deaths.
