WWE RAW September 20th, 2021: The Bloodline Arrives on RAW, New Women’s Tag Team Champions Crowned
Monday Night Raw aired live from NC State, North Carolina. The event kicked off with WWE Champion Big E and The Reunited New Day’s championship celebration. In his promo, he thanked everyone below heaven, and the one dear friend in heaven: The Late Great Brodie Lee. The whole arena chanted ‘Brodie’.
"I'm grateful for all of you below the heavens and one incredible friend above." 💜#WWEChampion @WWEBigE making us all 😭 on #WWERaw right now. pic.twitter.com/iS2OtHc17G

While Big E addresses their business with The Bloodline, Roman Reigns and The Usos arrive at RAW for the first time since 2019 and marches down the ring, where they have a face-off. The show kicks off with

The New Day vs. The Bloodline
6-Man Tag Team Match
The New Day vs. The Bloodline is a cross-branded match that delivered well. The Usos, Woods, and Kofi gave a great beating to each other. The real brawl started when Kofi tagged in Big E and Roman Reigns was in the ring, where they hit each other with clubbing blows and supreme counters. But Bobby Lashley crashes in outta nowhere and takes out Big E and Kofi. Xavier, who was in the ring gets the taste of a spear by Reigns, leading to the count of 3 for the victory.
After The Match: Lashley brutally attacks Roman Reigns in the ring with a spear, Hits another one to Big E crashing into the timekeeper’s area, and stays the last man standing.

Backstage: Lashley crashes in Deville and Pearce’s office where he slams about Big E’s cash-in last week and said that he could beat both Reigns and Big E at the same time.
Doudrop vs. Eva Marie
Yet another rematch between these two in their latest chapter in their rivalry. Before the match, Eva took the mic and took a shot at Dourop’s physique. Eva then forced her to chase around her in the ring. When doudrop finally got her hands on the formal mentor, she annihilated Eva with a slam, senton, and then a big splash for the victory.

Randy Orton vs AJ Styles
We are witnessing a WrestleMania caliber match. Both Orton and Styles are smart performers in the ring and it is always a treat to watch them clashing against each other. The Apex Predator then played some trick and made it look like Omos tripped him, leading to the referee ejecting him from the ringside. The angry giant then laid out Riddle on his way back. Orton has the plus one on the ring but The Phenomenal One was attacking the knee which was injured during the commercial break. The Viper then faked Styles out during a phenomenal forearm attempt and dropped him with a DDT, and then an RKO for the pinfall victory.
Shayna Baszler vs. Nia Jax
This match looked more like making Baszler going back to the previous form: A brutal competitor and cage fighter persona after months of okay to bad booking. It also featured some brutal spots by both performers but Shayna fought back and grabbed her with the Kirifuda Clutch, which led to referee stoppage for the win.
After The Match: Baszler absolutely destroyed Jax in a post-match assault and made it feel like she almost killed her. The crowd had an enhanced reaction and Baszler may have a huge push in the future, maybe a future women’s champion too.
Completely uncalled for…@QoSBaszler just made sure she ENDED this war with @NiaJaxWWE. #WWERaw pic.twitter.com/vGKNNdk2K5

Angel Garza & Humberto Carillo vs. Mustafa Ali & Mansoor
Real Life Cousins, Garza and Carillo are making their tag team debut in the name of family, clashing against Ali & Mansoor in tag-team action. This match was short, squashing, full of insane energy and high-flying techniques making it very enjoyable to watch. Despite Ali & Mansoor’s experience, Garza and Carillo dominated the match with Carillo grabbing a neck vice to Ali and Garza firing a dropkick to the face to score the pinfall victory.
Nikki A.S.H. & Rhea Ripley vs. Tamina & Natalya
WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship
Before the match began, Nikki and Rhea dedicated tonight’s championship match to the children who have been helped by Connor’s Cure on the occasion of Pediatric Cancer Awareness Month. Natty and Tamina started wise, knocking Ripley off the ring. Nikki A.S.H. was beaten and brutalized by the champs, but things turned when Tamina tried to attack Rhea but it backfired. Natalya was distracted when Ripley hoisted up Tamina for the Riptide to the unforgiving apron. Nikki then rolled up Natalya for the pin and we have NEW! Women’s Tag Team Champions.

Charlotte Flair Joins Alexa’s Playground
Flair asked for the Old Championship contender Bliss to come back. Bliss then asked what the queen really is without a championship to be relevant. After some shots had taken over originality, it led to a brawl. Flair ripped off the head of Charly, which allowed Bliss to recover and attack the champion, standing tall at the end of the segment.

Jeff Hardy vs. Sheamus
Veteran Hardy is back on the championship page as he takes on Sheamus with a special stipulation of if Hardy wins, he earns a spot at the US Championship opportunity at Extreme Rules. US Champ Damian Priest is at the commentary table. Sheamus showed some real aggression in the ring, but The Charismatic Enigma fought back and busted open The Celtic Warrior’s Nose, with blood spilling over his face and beard. Sheamus fought back but Jeff fought back smart with a Sunset Flip and picked up for the win, making the Extreme Rules match a Triple Threat.
After The Match: An Irate Sheamus blames Priest for his loss. A Clash happened and the referees had to pull them apart
The #USTitle Match this Sunday at #ExtremeRules is now a Triple Threat Match as @JEFFHARDYBRAND & @WWESheamus challenge @ArcherOfInfamy!https://t.co/5a4mKFKAq2

Big E vs. Bobby Lashley vs. Roman Reigns
Triple Threat Match
It’s Main Event time with the Clash of the Titans. The 3 Powerhouses of WWE laid out an absolute WAR. This turned out like a pay-per-view caliber match with Lashley towing his momentum towards Big E as he is still furious over his title loss. The match showed both in and off the ring brutality with tossing to the barricades and amazing spots. In the final moments, Big E hit a spear to The Tribal Chief through the ropes and hit a big ending in the ring, but Lashley interfered with the chair and continuously blasted on Big E. Roman saw the opening and hit a Spear for the victory of the war. Reigns celebrated his victory as smackdown went off the air.

Author’s Analysis: This Week’s RAW was a great treat to watch. We can finally see Baszler regaining his old persona and a pay-per-view caliber main event which was monstrous. Raw is regaining the show quality again and hope this time they don’t lose the grip. The newly formed tag team was good, with Garza and Carillo getting some TV time and showing their in-ring skills. The show can still do better with some talents, and The Bloodline can help boost some TV ratings, something in which they are lacking behind. Jeff Hardy back in the championship scene is what fans really wanted for a long time. Overall, RAW had a great booking tonight for almost all matches.

WWE Friday Night Smackdown, 10th September 2021: WWE Remembers the 9/11, The Demon Re-emerges
Friday Night Super Smackdown aired live from the World Famous Madison Square Garden, New York City; starting off with a video package remembering the 9/11 tragedy. A day America changed, but they are not afraid.
The Bloodline made their presence, where the Tribal Chief says he runs the New York City and demands to ACKNOWLEDGE HIM. Meanwhile, Brock Lesnar arrives at the scene, stands face-to-face with the Tribal Chief. Things became a bit awkward when he asked Heyman Why he didn’t inform Reigns he will be in Summerslam? The Former Advocate also gave us nostalgia down the line with the iconic introduction of The Beast. Things took a turn when Lesnar demanded a Universal Title Match. When Heyman didn’t respond in time, he started Manhandling the members of the Bloodline taking them to Suplex City. Moving to the first match of the night:
Big E, Dominik & Rey Mysterio, Shinsuke Nakamura & Rick Boogs vs. Otis, Apollo Crews, Sami Zayn, Dolph Ziggler & Robert Roode
10 Man Tag Team Match
Before the match started, Sami Zayn took the mic and introduced a surprise guest who will be in their corner. Trae Young, the NBA Star is back in the garden. The match was a power-packed start with back-to-back blows by the contenders. It wasn’t a good night for Trae when he pulled Rey while he was laid out on the ropes by Sami. While the referee saw it, he threw the Atlanta Hawks star in the back. This caused a big distraction to them, which helped Rey and Dom to hit a 619 on Zayn, leading to a Big Ending by E for the win.
Bianca Belair is in the ring for the contract signing against Becky Lynch with Adam Pearce and Sonya Deville in the ring. After talking about Lynch, she signs the contract. Becky Lynch arrived in the ring with style, while she doesn’t look in the mood to sign. After she confronts the fans, she gives what they wanted. A Smackdown Women’s Championship Match.
Edge vs. Seth Rollins II
Edge returns to MSG for the first time in 11 years for their SummerSlam rematch against the Drip God. He took to Twitter expressing himself returning to the arena:
Friday. Smackdown. Edge vs Rollins II. The Garden. I never thought I’d have the opportunity to wrestle in MSG again. Realistically this could be the last time I do. Let’s blow the roof off New York. pic.twitter.com/7phyUwbmJI
— Adam (Edge) Copeland (@EdgeRatedR) September 4, 2021
Both of them have some amazing chemistry in the ring, making it a match worth watching. Rollins takes shots and steals finishers when he hit the Glam Slam, famously used Edge’s wife Beth Phoenix. Edge didn’t back out too. He hit Rollins with a Pedigree. Rollins dominated on the second half of the match with back-to-back kicks, leading to a devastating stomp on Edge’s surgically repaired neck. Rollins picked up the win via pinfall.
After The Match: Edge was checked by the medical team and was taken to a local medical facility. Rollins looked shaken.
The Usos vs. The Street Profits
Smackdown Tag Team Championship Match
The Profits had the momentum during the match dominating The Usos. Cousin Roman Reigns made his presence to look on to the Tag Champs. The Match had a controversial ending when The Tribal Chief locked Montez Ford in the Guillotine Choke, leading to a disqualification.
After The Match: Reigns answered Lesnar’s challenge, said he will accept his challenge after he conquers Bálor at Extreme Rules. Lights went out, and Finn Bálor’s Alter Ego, ‘The Demon’ re-emerges and stands face-to-face against The Bloodline as SmackDown went off the air.
Overview: The 9/11 tribute was a class move by WWE. The matches and storyline segments were top-notch and stood up to expectations. With Lilian Garcia and Trey Young making their presence, John Cena made his final appearance for now in a Dark Match with The Mysterios against The Bloodline. The only missing thing was a women’s division match. The one which was scheduled was taken off due to time-related issues. The Smackdown Women’s Division even took to Twitter, indicating about the situation.

This has been the best Smackdown Episode since the live crowd returned. Setting up things leading to Extreme Rules and proves why Smackdown is the Flagship Show.
Adam Cole has parted ways with the WWE as his final match was against Kyle O’Reilly in the Undisputed Finale 2 out of 3 Falls Match. Although his contract was up right after Summerslam, he was in NXT for a while on a verbal agreement, to finish off the feud he was involved in. His 4-year NXT run witnessed a lot of Championship Gold and top-tier matches made him the top star in the business. After his contract expiration, he took no time and signed with All Elite Wrestling, debuting in the ‘All Out’ pay per view.
Before signing up with AEW, Cole had a high-level meeting with Vince McMahon, and WWE’s creative department was also asked to prepare some creative ideas for him. As reported by Dave Meltzer, Adam Cole’s main roster run involved plans of being him as a heel manager for former NXT Champion Keith Lee.
“The idea would be kind of a Lio Rush and Bobby Lashley thing, where you have this little guy who’s a big talker, and he hides behind this big African American guy type of a thing, So that was kind of the dynamic they were looking for him, more as a manager than a wrestler.
AEW Fans not only witnessed Adam Cole but also the debut of Bryan Danielson fka Daniel Bryan, and Ruby Soho fka Ruby Riott at All Out. This sparked things up in the pro-wrestling scenario and fans are eager to witness what potential these stars have in the future.

Now, the WWE Championship Match between Lashley and Orton will be held at Extreme Rules. Although before leaving, The Champion addressed that he will look in entering the Tag Team Turmoil alongside MVP.
The New Day vs. The Viking Raiders
Tag Team Turmoil Match
With Riddle and Orton seated on the ringside, The Turmoil war begun with Woods and Kingston taking the win in a relatively fine match. The Raiders were a tough team to fight against but The New Day took up the win, leading to a match against
The New Day vs. Jinder Mahal & Veer
Tag Team Turmoil Match
Veer and Mahal alongside Shanky were the next in line and stand out as an extremely aggressive tag team, but that didn’t stop The New Day from taking the victory when Kofi caught Mahal and Woods hit a Top Rope Maneuver, leading to the one, two three.
The New Day vs. Lucha House Party
Tag Team Turmoil Match
The winning streak didn’t stop for Woods and Kingston as they advanced in the next round via reversing Gran Metalik’s move, sending him face first on the mat and stood tall against them.
The New Day vs. T-BAR & MACE
Tag Team Turmoil Match
The Next in the turmoil match, MACE and T-BAR unleashed a war over the New Day manhandling the duo in the attempt for the win, but Kofi and Xavier beat the odds and got the quick roll-up pinfall.
Although that wasn’t it. They later unleashed a post-match beatdown on The New Day, Ali and Mansoor. The Brawl led to a delay in the match which will take place later in the night.
Drew McIntyre vs. Sheamus
Winner will face Damian Priest for the US Championship at Extreme Rules
The Celtic Warrior vs. The Scottish Warrior give us a good matchup, although for McIntyre, this time wasn’t lucky enough. The two engaged in a physical brawl with punches and kicks. However, Sheamus got the hold of McIntyre’s tights and rolled him up for the pinfall count, and The Celtic Warrior stands victorious.
After The Bell: An Enraged McIntyre attacked Sheamus with his own mask, and then hit a Claymore in the face.
Rhea Ripley & Nikki A.S.H. vs. Natalya & Tamina Championship Contenders Match
The unusual team of Ripley and A.S.H. stood tall over the reigning Women’s Tag Team Champs, leading to a championship opportunity. While Natalya attempted to lock Nikki in a Sharpshooter Submission, she failed and Nikki tagged in Rhea, who hits a riptide over one of the tag champs, leading to a huge victory.
Karrion Kross vs. John Morrison
Kross appeared in the Moist TV segment as a guest, where he laid out the challenge to John. A relatively short match where Kross legit tossed Morrison out of the ring like a sack of rice, leading into a Kross Jacket Submission hold for the victory.
Charlotte Flair vs. Nia Jax
RAW Women’s Championship Match
After their Physical match last week, with Jax getting a title opportunity against The Queen. Shayna Baszler, in the ringside caused a distraction for Nia, prior to the match and in the final moments as well. That helped Flair to hit a Natural Selection from the top rope, leading to a victorious 3 count.
After the Bell: Bliss and Lilly appeared in the TitanTron, inviting the Champion to her Playground. When she refused, Bliss made her presence in the ring, pointing at the Women’s Title. Flair agrees to a match but made it sure that its not Alexa’s Playground, it’s hers.
Akira Tozawa vs. Reggie
24×7 Championship Match
A filler category and quick match, where Reggie used his high-flying athletic techniques against the challenger and picked up the win.
After the Bell: R-Truth and some other superstars ran out to have their hands at the championship, Reggie escaped but Drake Maverick showed up face-to-face.
The New Day vs. Ali & Mansoor
Tag Team Turmoil Match
After the beatdown, The New Day shows up to continue the turmoil against Ali and Mansoor. However, they got eliminated as Ali got hit by a Trouble in Paradise and then a Top Rope Elbow Drop by Woods, leading to a rocking victory.
The New Day vs. AJ Styles & Omos
Tag Team Turmoil Match
The Turmoil Winning streak didn’t last for The New Day as Styles and his Own Personal Colossus Omos picked up a victory. Thanks to the assist by Omos and The Styles Clash in the end.
Bobby Lashley & MVP vs. AJ Styles & Omos
Tag Team Turmoil Match
An Absolute Brawl laid out by Omos. Easily one of the great matches of the day. Lashley was down for a moment but he gained back his momentum when he ducked the Phenomenal Forearm and hit a spear to Styles, leading to the pinfall for the win, getting a Tag Team Championship Opportunity.
After The Bell: Omos laid out The Almighty WWE Champion with a Double Hand Chokeslam, and then Randy Orton hit an RKO, laying him to the mat.
Overview
Tonight’s RAW didn’t stand up to the expectations as it had some fillers and a below average TV segment. The Tag Team Turmoil was action packed displaying the dominance of the tag team division. Two matches are confirmed for the upcoming pay per view. Omos and Lashley can cause mayhem in the ring and it was proved today. Booking them for a match will be a great in the future.
