If you want to travel to Goa once the COVID-19-related restrictions have been lifted, make sure you are properly vaccinated against the coronavirus. Tourists will be required to be completely vaccinated with both doses, according to the Goa government. Visitors to Goa will also need to provide a negative RT-PCR report, according to state Ports Minister Michael Lobo, who spoke to ANI on Thursday (June 24).
“We’ll have to wait until July to see if the number of cases has decreased to zero. With adequate screening, we would reopen Goa to tourists. Tourists would be required to have both vaccine doses and a negative RT-PCR report for the first three months after the state reopens to tourism “Lobo said.
“The cases are decreasing, but we will not begin business for another month. We must keep a tight eye on things for the first two months “The minister went on to say that screening those arriving by plane and rail is critical.
These limitations, according to Lobo, will not apply to travelers travelling during the holidays. “The regulations will alter in October, November, and December,” he assured, “but this will not hinder tourists visiting the state for New Year’s or Christmas.”
The corona curfew was extended until June 28 by Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on June 19. Tourism operations in Goa would restart only after the population between the ages of 18 and 44 has received at least the first dosage of COVID-19 vaccination, according to Sawant.
Meanwhile, according to the state’s media briefing, Goa logged 229 new COVID-19 cases, 258 recoveries, and 9 deaths on Thursday.
