Specifically, several parts of the state, notably Cuttack and Bhubaneswar, have been experiencing severe rainfall as a result of the deep depression over the northwest Bay of Bengal and adjacent Odisha coast, resulting in water-logging in low-lying areas.
Geologically the state is home to some of the oldest rocks of the world. Odisha also consists of two cratons (e.g. North Odisha Craton and Western Odisha Craton), which are sedimentary formations from the Cretaceous period. They are found in many places and are home to coal deposits. The coasts are made up predominantly of deltaic sediments of Mahanadi, Brahmani, Baitarani, Subarnarekha rivers of Quaternary age.
Depression Develops Over Bay Of Bengal, Alert Issued For Odisha As Water Surges In Major Rivers
The well-marked low pressure over the Bay of Bengal has strengthened into a depression, according to the Regional Meteorological Department in Bhubaneswar, and is highly likely to pass the north Odisha coast near Chandbali in Bhadrak by Monday morning.
At 5.30 p.m. on Sunday, the depression over northwest Bay of Bengal and surrounding Odisha coast was tracked 80 kilometers east-southeast of Chandbali, 70 kilometers east of Paradip, and 140 kilometers south-southeast of Balasore, according to the meteorological office.
Meanwhile, the Central Water Commission (CWC) has issued an alert for many Odisha districts as major rivers and their tributaries continue to rise as a result of persistent rain in the basin and higher catchment areas caused by low pressure.
“Rivers including the Brahmani, Baitarani, and Mahanadi are predicted to get a considerable quantity of runoff due to the existence of a well-marked low-pressure region over the Bay of Bengal and its subsequent deepening to depression. In districts like Angul, Deogarh, Sundargarh, Kendrapara, Dhenkanal, and Jajpur, the water levels of the Brahmani River and its tributaries are predicted to rise. The river Baitarani’s water levels are likely to rise in the districts of Keonjhar and Bhadrak, according to the CWC’s advice.
“In the districts of Cuttack, Khordha, Puri, Jagatsinghpur, Jharsuguda, and Bolangir, water levels of the Mahanadi and its tributaries are likely to rise. Flooding is likely in Odisha, as the IMD forecasts exceptionally heavy rains. Rengali Dam on the Brahmani River and Hirakud Dam on the Mahanadi River both have large reservoirs. Dam releases may be carried out in accordance with SOP following notification of downstream districts”, according to the CWC alert.
The river Jalka in the Subarnarekha basin in the Balasore district is now running over the danger level, according to the CWC advisory.
Between 8.30 a.m. and 8.30 p.m. today, Puri had the most rainfall (181.7 mm), followed by Bhubaneswar (122.3 mm), and Paradeep (53.6 mm).
Little Things Review: Kavya-Dhruv, A Perfectly Imperfect Couple
It’s Not for us to say
What will be
And at the end of the day
We’ll see
which way the whole thing bends
And what it could bring
‘coz nothing really matters
‘cept the little things
We all need some reassurance from time to time. That’s what little things leaves us with.
A lot of us were strongly adverted to relationships but when kavya said “no matter what, this stays” we were introduced to the contentment of love. They taught us to be there and help each other grow. When we saw them laughing together, we couldn’t stop ourselves from believing in love.
You both were a perfectly imperfect couple. You loved each other every day and that’s what made you special. We fell in love multiple numbers of time. Might it be when Dhruv sent biriyani along with a note for his “biriyani monster’’ for spoiling her dress or when Kavya ordered mutton chop for Dhruv from his favourite store to make things right. Might it be when Dhruv booked tickets for Kavya when her dog died or when Kavya stood with him while he pursued his dream all the way in Bangalore.
The way you took trips to explore yourselves as individuals showed us how important it is to take a break from life and that finding happiness beyond your partner isn’t falling out of love. The way you understood each other made us crave for companionship. And the way you celebrated each other’s success, asked us to never settle for less. Your journey was extraordinary and we felt it.
Your story wasn’t a fairy tale. It was not in any way a smooth or easy ride. You were working, learning and growing through the bumpy ride together. You adapted to everything that came your way to keep your relationship strong. You could face every insecurity and uncertainty head on. You were ordinary but your friendship made you special, making life all about the little things made you special. But you both together made us feel complete.

“So no one told you that life’s gonna be this way”, who didn’t hymned this song right?
From teenagers to adults this song, this series holds a special place in everyone’s heart for sure. So as a typical F.R.I.E.N.D.S fan we are here for you to tell why we love this and if you can relate, we are on the same team mate.
Story of friendship:
We all hearted how these six people, being so different from each other became friends and shared a bond which we crave. This series gave us some serious friendship goals to dream about.
“Can this be more funny?”:
Feeling upset or frustrated? ” F.R.I.E.N.D.S” has your back always. You cannot hold your laughter for too long if you are watching it. From Chandler Bing’s sarcastic lines to Ross Gellar’s obsession over dinosaurs your mood will cheer up soon once you are into it.
Perfect Relation-SHIPS to drool for:
If you are F.R.I.E.N.D.S fan one of the utmost reason watching it in repeat mode is we absolutely love the relationship- chemistry the pairs have in the show. From MONDLER TO ROSCHEL even joey with his triple cheese pizza makes us drool over. Also remember the time Monica proposed to chandler * cries in corner
Perfect-O-cast:
I don’t know whether the story is written visualizing the cast members or it’s just a mere coincidence but no one can fit in these characters better than these six people. From Mr. Bing’s iconic comic timing to Rachel green’s oh so bratsy brat moments and how can we forget Pheobe’s weird yet perfect comebacks, this series has it all.
“OH MY FASHION!”:
Who didn’t drool over Rachel’s that famous 90’s haircut or her wardrobe or Monica’s formal yet classy suits. Few of us must have searched in pinterest where to get those dreamy outfits * count me in. We absolutely love-love each character’s dressing style and carrying it with ‘oh so glamorous’ mode.
JOEY alert:
How can we ignore the fact that Matt De Blanc is one of our favorite character as Joey?
We all have our part of joey when it comes to love for food. From “how you doinn” to “Joey doesn’t share food” this person has successfully won over our hearts each time he smiled
Also we cannot help but mention Chandler’s dance has its OSCARY moment to laugh over.
Lessons to remember:
While this show made us laugh it also has few lessons to teach. Being a 90’s show few things were considered as taboo in those times like multiple divorce, breaking a marriage off, surrogacy, single motherhood even adoption while this series showed it all breaking the general so called stereotypes.
6 people – Story of life a lifetime:
F.R.I.E.N.D.S is one of those shows which will make you laugh – cry- crush over and even question why you are there. A story of 6 friends who became family and their bond will make you relate to your friends. Maybe- maybe not we all have that one Monica in our life who loves to clean and cook and gives their shoulder when we need it the most, Phoebe with whom we can do the weird stuffs, friendship like Chandler and Joey who gave us the reason to believe in boy friendships. This series is technically everything we want to have and we want to see.
It can be a 5 page article and still not be enough why we love this gem show but all we know is we cannot be bored of watching F.R.I.E.N.D.S ever.
*opens Netflix to watch it again.

I am jealous of her because she has you. When my love died no one was beside me, I was asking for you, were too blind to see? I guess you were. Our web of lies and truth has strangled us already. What do you want me to do with my heart now? Throw in front of you.
You are so cruel, you use me to walk to her. My blood marks the road and her name marks your smile. Why would you even write your name on my hand, when you were to take hers? Are you still going to say the truth, or wait till I bleed to death.
Guess she knew or she knows, she enjoys you much more than she could vow. Or shall I say, you both were blinded by what they called the sweetest poison? You should have stopped him if you were to choose him over me.
Our shadows ran through the fields, which are now graveyards for me. What can I bargain you for, you are evil, I don’t like you. You took over the things that were mine and left me alone, you liked her and you lied.
Our truth and lies stranded us, leaving me thirsty for feelings. How bad could this thirst be if you ask, remember I move in a forest but I feel like I am in a desert?
You act so benevolently that you give life to the flowers, but the truth is you are just a sour wave in the ocean, the one that brings dead fishes that look alive. No one knew how those fishes died, don’t worry I will tell no one. Your secret that you shared that night is safe with me. I am burning with the secrets that you told me at midnight, before kissing me.
You never told the truth to her, you were not green you are blue. Just like me you feel the truth but you took in plastic to be green, you took a lot of lies may be one of them or half of them could be for greed. The plastic you took in killed your fishes, you are now green it is true, but you bring sour waves, I don’t like you in summer. You taste so bad, you taste the same.
But I felt better that night because I thought you had poison in yourself, never knew you were the poison for my next few nights. What kind of pearl do you produce are you proud of it, are you sure people will like you and love you when they know you use dead fishes for eyes?
Do you think she will like you the same? Remember, the weeds that you grow and burn and breed are the seeds of poison. I don’t want to tell anyone, but I have your poison and I am holding it in. I told her about it. But she forgot our shadow already, the fields that I went to that day. Turned from green to grave and I was bleeding.
No one was there, neither were you nor was she. How it feels to breed poison, now I am broken, what will I treasure? This summer I had a heartbreak but if I tell you what I got, it rains diamonds in my city from now on.
I am rich with emotions, I am the forest you are scared of, and you are a garden under the poisoned ocean.
