Russia-Ukraine Tensions: The Drum Beats Of War Getting Louder, American Troops Are Settling Into Poland; NATO Considering Long-term Deployment

Russia-Ukraine Tensions: The Russo-Ukrainian War is an ongoing and protracted conflict that started in February 2014, primarily involving Russia and pro-Russian forces on one hand, and Ukraine on the other. The war has centered on the status of Crimea and parts of the Donbas, which are largely internationally recognized as part of Ukraine.

Currently, the things may be calm in Ukraine but the Country is surrounded by troops and military exercises

As NATO expands its presence in the region Moscow too id deploying more and more troops. Russian troops are piling into Belarus the military drills are underway in full swing, aerial maneuvers, sea drills, ground exercises.

Six Russian warships are heading to the black sea for Naval drills. Russia calls this a pre-planned movement of military resources.

American troops are settling into Poland their Humvees and weapons have arrived. The NATO is looking to make it permanent.

Jens Stoltenberg, Secretary General, NATO said “the alliance considering long term deployments. In other words more NATO presence in eastern Europe. No final decision is made on that but there is a process going on within NATO also of course in close consolation with our military commanders to adjust military presence in eastern part of the alliance”

Meanwhile, neither sides is backing down NATO jets are flying  over the unknown Ionian sea. Russian Nuclear bombers are flying over Belarus even as world leaders shuttle between capitals pushing for diplomacy. The threat of the conflict looms large over Ukraine
