Zoom calls have likely taken over our collective life since the start of the Covid-19 pandemic and the associated work-from-home habit. And Paytm CEO Vijay Shekhar Sharma is no exception in this. Sharma’s participation at some unusually extended business calls should not come as a surprise as the CEO of a company that employs 13,000 employees. His most recent tweet, on the other hand, has the Twitterati perplexed.
It’s been dubbed “the world’s longest Zoom call.” “According to Sharma, it lasted for a mind-boggling 7 hours and 45 minutes. That’s at least two-thirds of a normal nine-to-five job’s working hours. “I just ended what was possibly the longest Zoom call I’ve ever had. 7 hours and 45 minutes, “Sharma made a post on the microblogging site yesterday. Here’s what people on Twitter had to say about it.
Just finished my probably, the longest Zoom call.

While some people were sympathetic, the majority did not appear to be impressed. They stated they’d been through worse or that they’d had comparable situations. Surprisingly, a lot of humorous talent emerged as well, as is often the case on Twitter. “With whom are you talking? You didn’t, however, shatter my record. I used to chat to my girlfriend for 10 hours straight “remarked one user. “Ok. Concerned about the person who is responsible for taking meeting notes and sharing them before the end of the day, ” another user wrote.
Another Twitter user brought his hilarious Paytm complaint to the fore, writing, “Payment atka hai 3 din se sir :’) Aap ye karlo pehle :’)” [“My payment has been stuck for three days, but you do this first”.] The Twitter account of Paytm Bank Care ended up responding to the complaint.
No one was completely unimpressed, to be sure. Some of them were, and they had a good giggle about it.
