Odisha Cabinet Shows Green Flag To 15 Major Projects, Check Details

The Odisha Cabinet showed green flag to 15 major proposals on Saturday, including a Rs 332 crore project called the Odisha State Wide Area Network (OSWAN).

The suggestions of various departments were adopted at a Cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik.

Chief Secretary Suresh Mahapatra informed the Cabinet of the major decisions, which included the formation of the Odisha University of Technology and Research in Bhubaneswar.

The major decisions taken by the government are as follows:

– upgradation of water supply to Joda and Champua in Keonjhar

– mega pipe water supply project for Bisra, Lathikata, Lahuniapada and Bonai blocks of Sundergarh

– mega pipe water supply project for Lepripara, Tangarapali, Sundergarh, Bargaon, Subdega and Balisankara blocks in Sundergarh

– mega pipe water supply project for all villages of Athgarh and Tigiria blocks of Cuttack

– improvement of Duduka-Gopalpur-Toparia road to 2-Lane with paved shoulder in the district of Sundergarh

– waived out the royalty and other statutory payments for supply of Khnodalite blocks under the augmentation of basic amenities and development of heritage architecture (ABHADA) scheme for Puri

According to the State Chief Secretary, the regulations governing Odisha civil services, Heads of Departments’ (HoD) common cadre, Jail pharmacist service, and Odisha Panchayat executive officers service were also discussed and approved during the meeting.
