Nisha Rawal, who recently appeared in Shaadi Mubarak, has accused her husband, actor Karan Mehra, of domestic abuse and assault. On Tuesday, she spoke to the media and said that Karan had not only abused her but was also having an extramarital affair. Karan was given bail after being arrested by police on Nisha’s accusation, and he told the media that his wife slammed her head against the wall to accuse him.
Rohit K Verma and Munisha Khatwani, two of Nisha’s closest friends, have now come out in support of her. The two have stated in social media posts that they had known about Karan and Nisha’s marital issues for a long time but were instructed to remain silent.
A fashion designer, Rohit K Verma, uploaded a pic of Nisha with her head bleeding and in a worried state. “I have been observing silently suffer for years until she chose to let out her scream for assistance and stand for herself and her child,” he wrote alongside it. Munisha Khatwani, a tarot card reader and astrologer, also shared Nisha’s photo on Instagram, writing, “Time to break the silence … time to wake up ..never judge a book by the cover as the saying goes and here is the proof .. as a tarot card reader and astrologer I had been told to keep mum .. as one of her closest friends .. I cannot be quiet anymore 🙁 @missnisharawal we stand by you .. I have known for years but had to maintain silence.. not anymore 🙏🙏 I think we all know who did this 🙏 Karan no more protection 🙏🙏🙏🙏 I love you @missnisharawal ❤️”
Nisha said on Tuesday that Karan banged her head against the wall and forced her against the wall when she and her brother Ritesh were trying to discuss the future of their relationship with him. She also confessed that he had previously struck her, but she had never spoken out because she wanted to maintain their marriage.
The famous actor of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai when being freed on bail informed the reporters that after their alimony negotiations failed, his wife “smashed her head against the wall.” He even termed the case against him “fake,” claiming that his brother-in-law assaulted him.
After dating for a few years, Karan and Nisha married in November 2012. In 2017, they welcomed their son Kavish into the world.
