Ranveer Singh, who portrayed Peshwa Bajirao in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s historical drama Bajirao Mastani, claimed to have seen the Maratha leader’s ghost. The event occurred during the filming of the movie and it “totally scared off” the actor.
Bajirao Mastani was released in 2015 and stars Deepika Padukone as Mastani and Priyanka Chopra as Kashibai. With a worldwide total of more than 300 crore, the film was a commercial triumph.
Ranveer claimed in a 2015 interview with the Deccan Chronicle that he didn’t believe in ghosts till he saw one for himself. “I was really frightened, since it was such a strange experience. In my opinion, it was one of the most difficult days of the shoot.He explained, “I believed I sensed some type of presence and something told me it was him.”
Ranveer claims to have seen the spirit of Bajirao on the set, a week after the notion occurred to him while showering. “I started to wonder what would happen if I ran into his ghost and connected with his spirit and everything. I’m not sure what prompted me to think of it. But it wasn’t until the following week that I realised what had happened. On the day of the shoot, I had a difficult assignment ahead of me, and I was hoping to do it right. On the set, there was a black wall on which white dust had fallen, forming a pattern in the shape of Bajirao’s figure. The turban, eyes, nose, mooch, and arms were all present. “Everyone can perceive the resemblance,” he claimed.
While Ranveer admitted that his mind may be playing tricks on him, he said that he had a “strong instinctual sense.”
Ranveer will next be seen in Kabir Khan’s sports drama 83, in which he will play former cricketer Kapil Dev. Deepika will play Romi Dev, his wife, in the film. It is based on the Indian cricket team’s maiden World Cup triumph, which occurred in 1983. Apart from that, Ranveer is working on Sooryavanshi, Jayeshbhai Jordaar, and Cirkus in the pipeline.
