Bell Bottom Trailer Review: Actor Akshay Kumar’s character Bell Bottom came out with his trailer on August 3. The film is said to be based on real events of the 80s during a hijacking in India.
According to reports, Bell Bottom was the first film to be shot out in Glasgow during the pandemic. Unlike many films released during the pandemic, Bell Bottom will be released in theaters on August 19.
As the film trailer unfolds, the hijackings are highlighted and we will soon see Lara Dutta, who plays the role of former Indian Prime Minister. Dutta’s appearance has been politically modified to give her the look of a late Prime Minister.
Then comes the hero, Akshay Kumar who who is sought by everyone including the Prime Minister. The voice that plays with Kumar’s punching scenes lists the endless qualities of his character. His list of attributes is so long that there seems to be no savior in the world.
Naturally, some parts of Pakistan are shown to bring focus to India’s deadly enemy (no surprise there). After that we see the female actors of the film making a small appearance on screen. The significance of Akshay Kumar’s love interest, Vaani Kapoor, can only be determined when the movie is released. But judging by the trailer she is only there to show the loving side of the male character.
Huma Qureshi also comes a few minutes after donating a burqa. She doesn’t have a single line in the trailer and that warns the male character.
The trailer helps audience to make sense of the unfamiliar film title, Bell Bottom which is the code name of the character of Akshay Kumar in the film.
The whole trailer basically focuses on how one man (Akshay Kumar) with extraordinary skills and tactics was able to save India from terrorists.
